Gov. Willie Obiano is currently meeting with the Anambra fellows of The Obama Leadership Forum. 

He charges them to develop Solutions of empowering the Youths

Earlier today, the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano received in audience the Anambra members of the Obama Leadership Forum.

The Forum which was established and launched in South Africa a forthnight ago by the Former President of America, Barrack Obama, aims at grooming young leaders all over the world that will proffer solutions to the ever increasing societal challenges.

Obama Leadership Forum Visits Amawbia

Obama Leadership Forum had as applicants for membership over a 10000 persons all over the world and only 1% of that number was accepted amounting to 200 persons. From that critical number, Nigeria got 22 slots and Anambra alone had 5. That's a great feat. An indication of the ingenuity of the Anambra people.

At the Governors Lodge Amawbia, where the short meeting was held, Governor Obiano expressed his happiness thus, " I am very happy with the development. I am quite proud of the Youths of Anambra state, I understand all of you are from diverse backgrounds, the state will retain all of you and you will be sitting and thinking out solutions on how we can creatively empower our teaming youths".

Further, Obiano said, "Anambra has a very stable economy of about N4tr and with a GDP Per Capita Income of about $1930. But we won't rest on our laurels until that amount hits a record high.

Earlier in his speech, the Leader of group who coincidentally is the youngest commissioner in Nigeria, and the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Anambra State, Mr Mark Okoye Jnr, appreciated governor Obiano for what he tagged "exemplary leadership " in governance.

He told the governor that the Team would diligently deliver on the mandate handed to them.

Members of the Team include Mr Mark Okoye Jnr, Uchenna Onwuamaegbu Ugwu, Chinenye Nnoli, Ifeanyi Orajaka and Obiageli Ezeokoli.
