The government of Anambra has began setting up IDP centres for the expected 2018 flooding which was earlier predicted.

In anticipation of the expected flood this year, the Anambra state government, through the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, led by it's Executive Secretary, Chief Paul Odenigbo, had swung into action and established 28 holding centres for Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in the eight flood prone local government areas of the state.
Together, we can prevent, manage and mitigate flooding within the state.
