Floyd Mayweather Faces $2m Lawsuit.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. retirement from boxing has not stopped him from making more money. His retirement brought him more offers, he now makes huge money from endorsement deals and public appearances. The latter only work if Mayweather shows up, a foreign base company claims he took money from them without holding up his end of the bargain.
Report reaching Naijanewstv from Zinni Media clearly stated that Mayweather agreed to make five appearances in Nigeria and Ghana in June 2017.
Mayweather also made a video confirming his involvement in the deal, he allegedly backed out despite Zinni Media wiring him $210,000 of the $375,000 he requested for the engagements.
Mayweather agreed to reschedule the appearances for December 2017 at a cost of $550,000 alleged Zinni Media.
Mayweather allegedly asked for the original $210,000 to be used as part of his payment, but he backed out again and never returned the $210,000.
Zinni Media is suing Mayweather for the money he collected from them and also the damage he allegedly caused to their reputation.The lawsuit was filed in federal court in California.
Per Forbes, Mayweather is by far the highest-paid athlete in the world for 2018 at $285 million by virtue of his fight with Conor McGregor.
Floyd Mayweather Jr net worth as of January is between $700 million and $1 billion.
